This debate seems to have lingered for a very long time.Certainly, in the days gone past, the concept or design of buildings did not come from the kind of detailed scientific and complex geometrical foundations upon which modern buildings are created. Yet, many of these old architectural pieces still fill us with wonder (the pyramids of Egypt, for instance).
It would therefore seem that the architect must first of all be an artist but must also be able to tame his artistic adventurism with the whip of technical discipline.
Hey, where it not for artistry, wouldn't all modern architectural masterpieces look the same?

Yes people say that yes they are artist..but its good that you saying are an architect..but to call a golf course architect an artist is unnecessary.....yes some portion of the work is artistic, but many people participate in that portion of the work..that is artistic, but they are not artists.
